The primary focus of our organization is to
educate young women on the opportunities that exist with sorority
membership. This is accomplished at a special event called the
Recruitment Roundtable. It is held in the Spring, and all senior women
and their parents are invited to come and learn about sororities, the
recruitment process, and what to expect with collegiate and alumnae
membership.
The Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association
was founded March 3, 1927 at the Henry Grady Hotel and affiliated with the
National Panhellenic Conference in 1948. The organization represents
the entire metro area of Atlanta including Roswell, Alpharetta, Marietta,
etc.
The AAPA meets monthly from September through
May at the North DeKalb Cultural Arts Center. Our meetings cover
various items, including speakers with topics of special interest to alumnae
women, fraternity education, philanthropy planning, and fundraising efforts
for annual scholarships. |
